Many of you know that we’re expecting a baby here in the next couple of weeks and with the new addition to the family a smaller sized SUV is not going to work for our family vehicle, but as a secondary vehicle (which we always have) they do work pretty well. Recently we had the opportunity to test drive the 2017 Kia Sportage for a week.
The 2017 Kia Sportage LX is pretty basic, good features but nothing that stood out as knock it out of the park better than previous vehicles, other than it’s a bit more affordable, coming in at $27,035.00 and is nice on the gas guzzling – we averaged right around the 26 mpg and had it on the highway and city driving.
I did like that this particular vehicle is available in both a key (like the actual key) and push button start, so depending on your preference for a vehicle you do have that option. It had nice trunk space, we were able to fit a ton of groceries in just the back end and still have room for the kiddo’s up front. That’s one of my “must haves” is enough trunk space to accommodate what ever adventure we might be on.
Talking about adventures, my kiddo’s and I were all able to fit in, with two car seats.. so five of us. All of our swim gear and all we needed fit in the back and then some. We had it out on some of the hottest days and it cooled down quickly, making it very convenient when you’re out and about in the hot summer. The rear cam is a must have as well – making life a lot easier when you’re always with kids – safety #1!
When my husband had the 2017 Kia Sportage out he loved the pick up- it sped right along and you were up to your top speed in no time. Handling nicely and definitely his favorite feature with the Kia Sportage. Visit your local Kia dealer to test drive one today.
